Some times when I'm bored and Googling legitimate things - such as "what is this weird mole on my arm?" or "taco soup" or "bry hoeg", followed by "bryanne hoeg" - I like to click on the Images tab to see what an image search for the same words would produce.
The answer?
Mole. As in Mexican food. Not a brown spot on my skin.
Taco Soup.
A picture of me and my friend JY.
And what appears to be a Jamestown jersey. Number 23.
Did Michael Jordan play for Jamestown? No. Did I? No. I see no connection. Oh wait. Some dude named Hoeges played for Jamestown. Somehow, a search of "Bryanne Hoeg" brings back an orange jersey. The interwebs is a funny creature.
Today I Googled "Unemployment" so I could find out when my first check was planning on arriving (answer? today). Naturally, I needed to check out the images associated with such a search, and obviously, they are depressing.
But not quite as depressing as Unemployment Greeting Cards now being offered by Hallmark.
Unemployment cards.
Here is an example.
Outside:
Inside message:
You didn't cause this.
You don't deserve this.
You simply have to get through it.
And I know you will,
because I know you!
If you purchase this card and then send it to someone you know who is unemployed, you are an asshole.
So far my unemployment is going well and for some reason, I'm busy, busy, busy.
Babysitting. Dog-sitting. Partying. Sleeping. All of the good -ings.
Today at the end of my babysitting, the little boy I was babysitting said the F word. I had to walk away and go in the basement while I laughed and left AE to explain why we don't say swear words.
This is what he said. "Where is my f--ing light saber?"
Now that deserves a greeting card.
