But I had a plan.

It was so nice yesterday, yet again (but don't tell today that. damn you overcast sky...). I got off work at 3pm and decided to sit out on the porch and read. At first I left the door open because I thought maybe Chaser would want to join me outside. But then a bee flew in the house and then some flies. So I shut the door and sat back down to read my book, City of Thieves. A few minutes later I could hear some scratching and looked over to see Chaser crying to be let out. As soon as my hand touched the door knob, without eaven turning it, I knew I was locked out.

Our porch (or deck, whatever) has a five foot wall fencing it in. I have jumped this wall before, when my good buddy Chaser made a run for it and I ran after him. However, I knew the front door was locked, too.

So I sat down with my book and hoped MB would show up soon to let me in. I had a back up plan, I was pretty sure my window was open a bit and I could pop the screen out and climb through. I was trying not to panic though since my original plan was to read on the porch. And did I mention I was barefoot? Luckily, as I was turning the last two pages, I heard a rustling noise in the house and saw MB reflected in the glass.

And then I went to bed at 7:30 p.m.
