I am finally updating my book reads for the past two months. I have been distracted. As you can see, I read 6 books in May and 16 in June. I think the big difference is because of the TRASH I was reading this past month. Let us see what happens in July.
Currently Reading: Olive Kitteridge
Here are my June Reads:
1. Dead to the World
2. Dead as a Doornail
3. Asta in the Wings
4. The World Beneath
5. Catching Fire
6. All Together Dead
7. Definitely Dead
8. Beginner's Greek
9. Love Stories in This Town
10. Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging
11. On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God
12. First Comes Marriage
13. Then Comes Seduction
14. At Last Comes Love
15. From Dead to Worse
16. Angel's Game
So here is May (finally):

4. Local News
5. Shopgirl
6. Big Love

Ugh. Seriously? And on my day off?
It is amazing to talk to both of my parents in one evening and have two very different conversations.
One ended well with my telling my mom how much I love her and can't wait to see her in less than a month.
The other ended in my hanging up on my dad and ignoring his subsequent call backs and voice mails (one voicemail implying that we were having a "difference of opinion"). I don't have differences of opinions that end in my hanging up the phone. And I have NEVER hung up on a parent. It is disrespectful and I love my parents.
Fuck.
I kept thinking this blog would be so much different than my last. I wouldn't have any emo, moody, depressing rants.
Well now my dad is not talking to THREE of his children.

As of Late.
I keep forgetting to update my May book reads. And I cannot do it today because I forgot my list. I do know I only read 6 books last month. It was hard to read in between starting a new job, moving and napping a lot (due to my new hours).
However, I have already read 5 books this month and it is only June 9.
The new apartment is still going swimmingly. I may have a lead on a bed. Now I just need to find a truck to move it with. We shall see.
I have the next few days off from work and I could not be more excited. I have a full list of things to do. I will be very busy. And by very busy, I mean reading. I plan on trying to read these books in the next three days:
All Together Dead
Catching Fire
Beginner's Greek
So don't bother me while I am doing this very important work.
I am also hoping to see The Hangover. This is why I love the summer!
I was trying to take a nap this afternoon but Fern ruined it by coming home for lunch. And now I am at the library trying to get the free Wi-Fi to work so that we can download some I-Tunes.
We do not have the Internet, do not have cable or an antenna for the TV. And no DVD player. So our house is the house of FUN. And of READING. And of BEING VERY CLEAN BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO DO BUT CLEAN!
About every other day I think this is awesome. On the other days, I think "Why the fuck don't we have cable? How the hell-o kitty am I supposed to watch Project Runway. Oh wait, Look how much I have been reading!"

Perhaps
My plans for the summer:
1. Work
2. Go to Spokane July 17 for about 4 days.
3. Go to Montana in August for about 5 days.
4. Try not to get upset about the heat.
5. Read too much.
Today I went to Macy's and bought two pairs of pants for $40.00. They were both more than 50% off. While I was shopping, I kept thinking "Why does it cost so much!"
After spending the last 6 months not buying much (three months of which was not buying ANYTHING), I cannot stomach spending money on anything. Which is good because I have zero dollars. But knowing now that I have zero dollars, I wonder how I ever afforded the things I used to do/buy. Granted, I do make a lot less now than I used to.
Last night was the final night of the RW send-off. The girls were afraid they were going to get knifed at the Black Cat so we walked over to the Skybox instead. This was a little sad. I wanted to play some shuffleboard. And maybe I wanted to get knifed. (For the record, the Black Cat is not the worst bar I have ever been in. Nor is it the dive-iest. That award is tie between Sporty's in Stevensville and Annie's in Astoria).
But it doesn't matter because I still had a lot of fun drinking my fake PBR.
"Do you have PBR?" I asked.
"No."
"Okay, I'll have a Stella."
"How do you go from a PBR to a Stella?" asked AA.
"I'm a classy lady, that's how," I told him.
This morning we got up early to go to Beaverton Farmer's Market where I bought some basil, asparagus and carrots.
I have big plans for the afternoon.
1. Wash new jeans.
2. Nap
3. Shower
4. Work all evening.
5. Read not enough.

I am sorry I have been away.
I am all moved in to the new apartment and the moving went better than I expected. First, it only took me 3.5 hours to move myself in a small car. That includes my desk, chairs and table. Second, I didn't kill myself or break anything.
But then the next day (last Thursday) I wanted to kill myself. New Roommate has a ton of crap. Not more than the average person and no more than I have in storage in California. However, more than you want to move in 80 degree weather down a flight of stairs and then up 1.5 flights of stairs. But we made it.
Aside from moving, I have been getting used to the new apartment, the new walk to work, and settling in at work.
It talkes me abotu 40 minutes to walk to work and I think the distance is between 1.5 and 2 miles. By car it is at least 2 miles but I cut through a few parking lots and back roads so I think it is a little shorter on my walk. I am hoping to walk to work 75% of the time. I say that because it is getting really hot here and I don't want to walk to work and be sweaty when I get there.
We also do not have cable or a DVD player or the Internet. And we have no plans to get them. New Roommate thinks this makes us hobos because we have to go to the library. However, we don't want to pay for any of this stuff and it is not free so it will be interesting to see how long we hold out.
